Rice Hulls
Rice hulls are the outermost covering of the rice. We
offer rice hulls in two forms, organic rice hulls and
natural rice hulls. Both are available on a steady
and year round basis. All of our rice hulls are shipped
in bulk. One truck load of rice hulls is approximately
17 to 18 tons, which translates to roughly 165 cubic
yards per truck load.
Rice Bran
The outer layer of the rice kernel which is removed
during the milling process to create white rice. It
is an excellent source of thiamin, niacin, vitamin B-6,
iron, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, and fiber. It
is commonly used as an ingredient in cereals and mixes,
and in vitamin concentrates. Rice bran that is non-
food grade, is used as an ingredient in dairy feed.

Second Heads and Brewers Rice
Second heads and brewers rice are one of the many byproducts
that rice milling tends to create. Second heads are
milled rice kernels that are one half to three quarters
of the original kernel. Brewers rice is a milled rice
kernel that is one quarter to half the size of a full
kernel. Second heads, depending on their quality are
used to make rice flour. If the quality of the second
heads are poor, they will be sold for pet food or dairy
feed. Brewers rice are sold for pet food and dairy feed
exclusively. Depending on their destination, we can
deliver the second heads and brewers rice to you in
grain hoppers, walking floor trailers, or tote bags.

Paddy Rice
Throughout the year, we have paddy rice that is not
U.S. #1 quality rice. This rice, is usually #2 or lower.
Although it is not table quality, it is still good for
use in white rice flour or for pet food purposes. In
terms of the variety of the rice, it is usually a medium
grain type of rice. Often during the year, we do have
an availability of #2 or lower long grain or aromatic
rice available for purchase.
Organic Rice Byproducts & Co-products
As the largest supplier of organic brewers rice in the
United States, we are in the position to provide our
customers with a constant year round supply of product.
We have the ability to ship from either our west coast
facility or our facility in the south. Organic rice hulls
are available on a weekly basis. Organic rice bran is
available from either facility on a year round basis as

a supply agreement. All of the organic rice byproducts
that we sell are NOP & CCOF Certified
